About Us

Frescaroma Specialty Delights is a privately owned and operated café located in the heart of San Jose, right on the busy crossroads of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Road. Its majority owner, who has had a lifetime passion to operate a coffee shop and desire to provide the best products to customers, attended a coffee exhibition and conference, and from there, the Frescaroma company was founded.

At Frescaroma Specialty Delights, we take pride in providing quality coffee beverages and products along with other gourmet food delicacies in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. We firmly believe that the key ingredients for our success come from offering our customers the best products available and at reasonable prices, along with superior customer service. We also believe that we should do our own share of helping to protect the natural environment, as well as promote Fair Trade practices.

As a result, we only use premium quality Arabica beans, which are known for their great flavor and aroma, and are preferred by gourmet coffee shops. All the coffees that we carry and serve are also Organic and Fair Trade Certified. This enables us to provide our customers with the highest quality coffees, do our part to sustain the ecological health of our environment and natural resources, and guarantee fair wages to coffee farmers and their children.

Frescaroma Specialty Delights also serves various desserts and pastries, as well as gourmet panini and wrap sandwiches to complement our extensive coffee beverage selection.

Support for Local Artists

Besides serving the local community with great coffee products and beverages, Frescaroma Specialty Delights serves the extended community by encouraging local artists to display their artwork and pieces at our store. The display space is provided free to them and the store receives no commission from the sales. All sales of artwork are solely between the artist and the respective customer. We do this to provide opportunities for local artists to promote and sell their artwork in a public venue that may not always be available to them, due to the high cost of renting space in a gallery. Since the start of the program we have helped several local artists promote and sell their artwork to various customers who consistently come by our store.

The store also holds an art exhibition every now and then, where these local artists can display more pieces from their collection, so the public can have a better selection to view and choose from.

Our support for local artists also extends to local musicians and other performers who wish to have an opportunity to perform in a small public setting. Thus, we regularly schedule such performances on a day and time when we expect more customers to be lounging at the coffee shop. Aside from getting the chance to perform before a crowd and showcase their artistic talents, the store also allows them to sell any merchandise they may have in order to help promote them. Again, any sale from such merchandise is strictly between the customer and the local artist, so the store does not make any profit from such sales.
